Clear guidance on cancellations, refunds and resolving a concern.

1. What this policy covers

This policy explains how to ask about appointment cancellations, service concerns, digital course purchases and any physical goods purchased from LCM Hair Studios. Contact bookings@lcmhairstudios.com or 07732 037629. Our studio address is 633 Saffron Lane, Aylestone, Leicester LE2 6UN. Your statutory consumer rights always apply; this policy does not replace or reduce them.

2. Changing a salon appointment

Contact us as soon as possible if you need to change or cancel a booking. Include your name, appointment date and service. Any cancellation window, deposit terms or applicable charge should be disclosed before booking and will be considered alongside your statutory rights. We do not impose a new cancellation charge through this page. If the studio cancels an appointment, we will discuss rescheduling or refunding the payment for the affected service.

3. Concerns about a completed service

A salon service cannot be physically returned, but you may have remedies if it was not provided with reasonable care and skill or did not meet the agreed description. Let us know promptly so we can review your concern. Depending on the circumstances, an appropriate remedy may include repeat performance or a price reduction, including a refund where legally required. The remedy will depend on the issue; a concern is not automatically refused because the appointment has ended.

4. Cancelling a service booked at a distance

Where the statutory cancellation right applies to a service booked online or by phone, the cancellation period is normally 14 days from the contract date. If you expressly request that the service begin during that period, you may have to pay a proportionate amount for work supplied before cancellation when the required information has been given. The cancellation right can end after full performance only where the applicable consent and acknowledgement requirements have been met. Contact us if you are unsure how this applies to your booking.

5. Digital courses and academy access

For digital content purchased online, a statutory 14-day cancellation period may apply. That right is not lost simply by paying or having an account. If supply begins during the cancellation period, the right to cancel ends only where you expressly agreed to immediate supply, acknowledged the loss of the cancellation right and received the required confirmation. If those conditions were not met, contact us to exercise the rights that remain available. Separate legal remedies can apply when digital content is faulty, unavailable or not as described.

6. Course access problems

If a purchased course will not open or its content does not work as described, send your order reference, the affected lesson and a short description of the problem. We will investigate and discuss the appropriate remedy. Depending on the issue and applicable law, this may involve restoring access, repairing or replacing content, or a price reduction. Any commercial satisfaction guarantee must be expressly stated on the course page; this policy does not introduce one.

7. Physical goods, where sold

If you buy physical goods from us online and the statutory cancellation right applies, notify us within 14 days after receipt and return them within the following 14 days. Contact us for return instructions. Standard delivery charges are included in the statutory cancellation refund where required. Return postage for a change of mind is payable by you only where this was disclosed before purchase. A lawful deduction may apply for handling beyond what is necessary to inspect the goods. Refunds are made within the applicable legal deadline, normally within 14 days after the goods or evidence of return are received.

8. Faulty goods and lawful exceptions

Faulty, damaged or incorrectly described goods are covered by statutory remedies. Please tell us what happened and provide proof of purchase and, where helpful, photographs. Certain change-of-mind exceptions may apply, for example to genuinely personalised goods or sealed goods unsuitable for return for health or hygiene reasons once unsealed. These exceptions do not remove rights relating to faulty or misdescribed goods. There is no blanket no-refund rule for opened products.

9. How to request a cancellation or refund

Email bookings@lcmhairstudios.com with your name, booking or order reference, purchase date and the service, course or item concerned. State whether you wish to cancel or report a problem, and describe the remedy you are requesting. You do not need to provide a reason when exercising a statutory change-of-mind cancellation right. A clear statement such as “I wish to cancel my booking/order [reference], placed on [date]” is sufficient. Do not send full payment-card details.

10. Refund processing and questions

We will explain the proposed resolution and any information needed to process it. Where a refund is due, it is normally returned using the original payment method unless you agree otherwise, without an additional refund fee. Bank or payment-provider processing can affect when it appears in your account. Statutory deadlines remain applicable. Contact the studio if you need an update, or consult our Terms and Conditions for further booking and purchase information.
